Why is my collection not sorting automatically?
Open the collection in Merchandising → View collections and check its Schedule. Manual runs only when you start it; choose Repeat and save a schedule for automatic runs. If the collection has not been configured for Collection Sort & Manage, select Configure first. See Collection sorting and View collections in Collection Sort & Manage.
Why has my saved order not appeared yet?
Save stores your settings but does not start an immediate sort. Use Sort now or Apply now when available, then check the collection's status and last update before comparing its order in Shopify. A Repeat schedule applies the saved settings at its next run. See Collection sorting.
Why does the storefront show a different order from the app?
First compare the collection with its order in Shopify after the sort finishes. On the storefront, check the collection page's selected sort option and any theme, search or filter app that controls product order. A shopper-selected sort, such as price or newest, can replace the collection's default order. If Shopify shows the expected order but the storefront still differs with its default sort selected, check the storefront app or theme settings.
Can I keep a product at a fixed position while the rest are sorted?
Yes. Move the product to the position you want and Lock it. An unlocked product follows the chosen sort order when sorting runs again. See Reorder products in a collection.
Can I use the same strategy for several collections?
Yes. Select the collections in Merchandising → View collections, choose a saved strategy and select Assign strategy. Review the schedule and whether to apply the order now before confirming. See Assign a strategy to collections.
How do segments affect the order?
Segment rows run from top to bottom. A product claimed by an earlier segment is not claimed again by a later one. Each segment can have its own sort order, while products outside the segments follow All remaining products. A combination segment can place its Single segments one after another or take turns in batches. See Segments.
Why is a new or changed product not in the position I expected?
Check that the product belongs to the Shopify collection and matches any segment or Push up/Push down conditions. Then check whether sorting has run since the product changed. For sales, analytics or inventory-based sorts, check that the relevant data is available. See Sort types and Push products up and down.
When do Restock date and New inventory added date start working?
These dates are tracked after the initial inventory sync. The initial stock value is not counted as a restock or increase. Restock date records stock returning after it was out of stock; New inventory added date records an increase in stock. See Sort types.
