Choose how combination segments take turns

Updated Oct 27, 2026

A combination segment can place products One after another or Take turns between its saved Single segments. Choose the arrangement when you create a combination segment. The order of its member rows matters in both arrangements.

Compare the two arrangements

Suppose New arrivals brings N1, N2, N3 and N4 in that order. Best sellers brings B1 and B2. Each Single segment has already selected and sorted its own products.

Arrangement Settings Order in the combination
One after another New arrivals first, Best sellers second N1 → N2 → N3 → N4 → B1 → B2
Take turns 2 from New arrivals, then 1 from Best sellers per turn N1 → N2 → B1 → N3 → N4 → B2

One after another finishes the first segment before starting the next. The per turn fields appear only for Take turns. With Take turns, each segment contributes its batch in row order, then the cycle starts again. If one segment runs out, the others continue. Rearrange the member rows to change which segment goes first.

If products match more than one segment

A product appears only once in the combination. The first member row that matches it owns it, even if another member would sort it higher. For example, if New arrivals contains Jacket, Sneakers and Hat, while Best sellers contains Sneakers and Bag, Sneakers belongs to New arrivals. At one product per turn, the result is Jacket → Bag → Sneakers → Hat. Best sellers' turn is filled by Bag; there is no duplicate Sneakers.

How product limits affect the order

Each Single segment selects and sorts its matching products, then its Product limit caps how many it can contribute. The combination arranges those products and applies its own Product limit to the total.

Using the first Take turns example, a combination limit of 4 brings N1 → N2 → B1 → N3. If New arrivals also has its own limit of 2, it can bring only N1 and N2; Best sellers can still bring B1 and B2. Products beyond either limit are not removed from the collection. They remain eligible for later segment rows or All remaining products.

Preview the combination to check which member brings each product, then preview the collection to see its final order alongside any other segment rows.
