Stock alerts

Updated Oct 26, 2026

Hide Out of Stock Push Down alerts tell you when products or variants meet a stock condition. Each alert watches the products you choose and can run on a repeat schedule or when you select Run now. Alerts report matches; they do not change product visibility or collection order.

Choose an action mode

Choose one action mode for each alert. Create more than one alert if you need to watch different conditions.

Action mode Use it to find…
Low stock Products at or below a stock threshold you set.
Out of stock Products with no inventory.
Published but out of stock Sold-out products still published on a selected sales channel.
Hidden but back in stock Hidden products whose stock has recovered.
Continue selling when out of stock Variants still available for purchase after stock reaches zero.
Restocked Variants that were restocked recently.
Location risk Variants running low at a selected stock location.

The settings change with the mode. For example, Low stock asks for a threshold and a way to measure inventory; Location risk asks which locations to measure. See Choose a stock alert action mode for the settings in each mode.

Set up and follow an alert

Open Stock operations → Alerts and select Create alert. Give it a name, choose an action mode, then set its condition. Use Targeting to watch all products or a selected group; see Choose products for a stock alert for the selection options. Add email recipients and choose Repeat for scheduled checks or Manual to run it yourself.

The Alerts list shows each alert's type, targeting, schedule, recipients, last sent time and status. See Manage stock alerts to run, pause, edit or review an alert after saving it.

Start with Create a low-stock alert for a complete example.
