Hide sold out

Updated Oct 26, 2026

Hide sold out rules change a product's visibility when its stock reaches a level you choose. A rule can hide products when stock falls, bring them back when stock recovers, or do both.

For example, you can remove a product from Online Store when its total stock reaches 0, then publish it there again when stock reaches 1. The product stays in your catalogue.

What a rule controls

  • Stock conditions: choose how to measure stock. Hide acts when it reaches or falls below your Hide threshold; Unhide acts when it reaches or rises above your Unhide threshold. You can use total stock or a variant-based measure, and choose which locations count when using total stock.
  • Visibility changes: Hide can set a product to Unlisted, Draft, or Archived, remove it from selected sales channels, or do both. Unhide can set it to Active, publish it to selected channels, or do both. If Hide removes it from Online Store, you can also choose a redirect.
  • Products: apply the rule to all products or choose which products it watches.
  • Timing: run the rule manually, on a repeat schedule, or instantly when stock changes, where available.
  • Notifications: enter an email address to receive a message each time the rule runs.

Open Stock operations → Hide sold out and select Create rule to set one up. The rules list shows each rule's status and provides actions to run, pause, resume, edit, or delete it. Use View logs to see its activity.
