Push down uses an inventory threshold to decide which products move towards the bottom of a collection. Open Stock operations → Push down, then choose Actions → Configure for an enabled collection. Set Inventory ≤ and choose the inventory scope.
For a typical sold-out rule, enter 0 and select Total inventory. A product with two variants holding 0 and 4 units has total inventory of 4, so it stays in its normal position. With Any variant instead, that product qualifies because one variant has 0 units.
Choose what the threshold measures

The three specific variants scopes show SKU contains fields. Enter comma-separated text that appears in the SKUs you want to check. Matching is case-insensitive, and at least one variant must match a group for that group to qualify. With Specific variants (OR), enter two groups; either group can meet the threshold.
Decide which products are eligible
- Include ‘Continue selling when out of stock’ and inventory not tracked products: Turn this on if those products should be eligible. When it is off, a product is excluded if any variant continues selling when out of stock or does not track inventory.
- Exclude products with tags: Enter comma-separated tags that should stay out of Push down. Choose Exact match for a whole tag or Contains for text within a tag. Matching is case-insensitive.
- Exclude locations: Choose locations whose stock should not count towards the inventory threshold.
Select Save after changing the settings. Use Run now from the collection's Actions menu if you want the new conditions applied immediately. For the initial setup steps, see Set up Push down for a collection.
