Set up Push down for a collection

Updated Oct 26, 2026

Turn on Push down for a collection, then set the stock condition that decides which products move towards the bottom. For an introduction, see Push down.

Turn on Push down

  1. In Hide Out of Stock Push Down, open Stock operations → Push down.
  2. Find the collection and turn on its Enabled switch. You can search by collection title or handle.
  3. In the collection's Actions menu, select Configure.
  4. Set the Inventory ≤ threshold and choose how to measure inventory. For example, use 0 with Total inventory to push down products whose total stock is zero.
  5. Review the other options, then select Save.

The Push down settings with the inventory threshold and scope

Push down begins working when you switch it on. If you change settings later, use Run now in the collection's Actions menu to apply them immediately.

For the inventory and exclusion settings, see Choose Push down conditions. To return restocked products to their former places in manually sorted collections, see Restore restocked products to their previous positions.

To stop Push down temporarily, select Pause in the collection's Actions menu. Select Resume to continue. Turning off Enabled stops Push down for that collection.
