When Push down moves a low-stock product to the bottom of a collection, you can choose whether it returns to its previous position after restocking. This setting is available when the collection's Shopify sort order is Manually.
For example, a collection starts in the order Jacket, Shirt, Trousers. Shirt sells out, so Push down moves it to the end: Jacket, Trousers, Shirt. If restoration is on, Shirt returns between Jacket and Trousers when it is restocked. If restoration is off, Shirt stays where Push down placed it.
Choose the restock behaviour
- In Hide Out of Stock Push Down, open Stock operations → Push down.
- Find an enabled collection whose Sort order is Manually.
- Open its Actions menu and select Configure.
- Turn Restocked products go back to where they were on or off, then select Save.
The setting saves the product's position from before Push down moved it.
If the collection uses another Shopify sort order, this checkbox is not shown. That sort order determines the restocked product's position. If a linked strategy controls restoration, change the setting in the strategy instead.
You can set the same preference on several collections using Apply Push down to multiple collections. The bulk setting takes effect on collections sorted Manually.
