Why didn't my sales campaign change every selected variant?
First, open Promotions activity log and select the campaign. On the relevant run's row, select Actions → View items to see which variants changed or were skipped. A campaign skips variants that are already discounted because Prevent stacking discounts is always on. It can also skip variants whose new price would be below cost if Ignore variants sold at a loss was selected. Check the campaign's target filter and preview if the missing variant was not selected at all.

Why doesn't my storefront show the new sale price?
Check the variant's Price and Compare-at price in Shopify admin after the campaign or price edit has finished. If they did not change, inspect the run in the Promotions activity log for skipped items or errors. If Shopify shows the new values but your storefront does not, check the theme's product and collection pages and any other app that displays or caches prices. A sale badge or crossed-out price may also depend on the theme's display settings.
Why did a changed price go back?
Check whether the campaign or price edit reached its End at time or was manually reverted. The Promotions activity log shows the price changes and reverts made by Sales Discount Manager. If the log shows no revert, check whether another price edit, app or manual change updated the same variant afterwards. Compare the time of the change with the variant's current values in Shopify admin before making another edit.
Will new products join an active campaign automatically?
Only if the campaign uses Smart targeting with Keep in sync turned on. The campaign checks the filter periodically: newly matching variants join, and variants that stop matching have their campaign changes reverted. Manual selection and uploaded product lists stay fixed. See Keep sales campaign products in sync.
Can a Shopify discount code still apply to sale items?
Yes. A campaign changes product prices, but it does not automatically restrict a Shopify discount code at checkout. See Prevent discount codes from applying to sale items for a way to limit a product discount code to eligible items.
