In Edit values, choose which field to change: Price, Compare-at price, or Cost. A price edit changes one of these fields at a time. The Edit type choices then adjust to the field you selected.
Actions available for every field
For any of the three fields, you can:
- Set a fixed value — give every selected variant the same value. For example, set Price to $20.
- Increase or decrease by a percentage or fixed amount — for example, decrease a $50 Price by 10% to $45.
- Calculate from the original value — use a percentage of the field's value before this edit. For example, set Price to 80% of its original $50 value to get $40.
- Import values — give each item a different value from a file. For Compare-at price, the option is labelled Import compare at price. The import steps are in Import values for a price edit.
Choose the field in Target column, then the action in Edit type. Enter a number if the action asks for one, and check the result in the Targeting preview.
When editing Price
You can also calculate Price as a percentage of Compare-at price, Price, or Cost. For example, 150% of a $20 Cost gives a $30 Price. You cannot empty Price.
Price edits also offer options to Copy old price to compare-at, Prevent stacking discounts, and Ignore variants sold at a loss. If you copy the old price, Only set compare-at if currently empty leaves existing compare-at values in place.
When increasing or decreasing Price by a percentage or fixed amount, Also apply to compare-at applies the same adjustment to both fields. When calculating from Compare-at price, Use price if compare-at is not set or lower provides a fallback.
When editing Compare-at price
You can calculate it as a percentage of Price or Cost, or choose Empty to clear it. The option to calculate Compare-at price from itself is not shown.
When editing Cost
You can calculate it as a percentage of Price or Compare-at price, or choose Empty to clear it. The option to calculate Cost from itself is not shown.
Repeat and other options
Repeat allows a fixed value, clearing Compare-at price or Cost, or a calculation based on a different field. Actions that would compound on each run, including increases and decreases, are disabled. Imported values cannot repeat.
For non-import edits, you can also choose Round to attractive price endings, such as .99, where that result is useful.
Upload product list with a regular edit type only chooses which variants to change; the same edit rule then applies to all of them. To give each variant its own exact value, choose an Import edit type instead.
