Preview a collection to check the proposed product order before applying it. The preview also reflects the products selected by its membership setting, so check both the products and their order.
Preview the result
- Open a collection and choose its Sort order in Products.
- If the collection uses Smart membership, select Preview beside its filter. On an existing collection, you can switch between Current and Preview in Products to compare what is live with the proposed result.
- If the collection uses Manual membership, choose products with Browse. The product preview updates from your selection.
- Check the product list and the Summary before saving.
Preview does not change the Shopify collection. If you change the sort order or membership settings, check the preview again before applying.
Save or apply
- Create saves a new collection and starts building it in the background.
- Save keeps changes to an existing collection without starting an immediate run. With a Repeat schedule, the next run applies them.
- Apply now saves an existing collection and starts an update immediately.
- Run now in View collections starts an update using the collection's saved settings.
With a Manual schedule, use Apply now or Run now when you want the saved order updated. See Set a collection update schedule for the schedule choices.
